The AVSTS are pleased to introduce their programme for the 2019 spring meeting to be held at the ICC, Birmingham on 3rd April. This year we have an excellent variety of topics following the traditional ‘What’s new and hot’ theme, including Ronan Doyle and Simon Tappin who will be giving talks on surgical treatment and embolisation of liver tumours, Jonathan Bray who will be discussing endoprosthetics for tumour patients, and Janet McClaran will be talking about laparoscopic GI surgery.

This year's autumn meeting will address some of the more unusual soft tissue surgery emergencies and will cover topics like facial and dental emergencies and reconstructions, stick injuries, acute thoracic and ocular emergencies and head trauma for the soft tissue surgeon. As always it promises to be a thought provoking and interesting meeting with plenty of time to debate and socialise.
