Richard Coe
Richard qualified as a vet in 1998 from Cambridge University. After a year in general practice in Essex, he moved to America to spend a year as an intern in small animal medicine and surgery at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. After another year in emergency practice in London, Richard was appointed in 2001 as Senior Clinical Training Scholar (Resident) in Small Animal Soft Tissue Surgery at the University of Bristol, training with Professor Peter Holt. At Bristol, Richard developed a particular interest in urinary tract surgery, ENT, and oncologic/reconstructive surgery. He also trained in orthopaedic and neurosurgery and has a particular interest in spinal surgery.
In 2007 Richard obtained the Diploma of the European College of Veterinary Surgeons. Following his residency Richard has worked as a Lecturer in Small Animal Surgery at the Royal Veterinary College, and the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies, before joining Vets Now Ltd as a Specialist Surgeon in 2009.
